Not sure urgent care or ER?

A quick way to decide.

Come to urgent care for

  • Fever, flu, or cold symptoms that won't let up
  • Sprains, minor fractures, and cuts needing stitches
  • Ear infections, UTIs, and sore throats
  • Minor burns, rashes, and allergic reactions
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, or mild dehydration

Go to the ER for

  • Chest pain, pressure, or difficulty breathing
  • Signs of stroke: facial drooping, slurred speech, numbness
  • Severe or uncontrolled bleeding
  • Major trauma, head injury, or loss of consciousness
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling or trouble breathing

How to think it through.

Twisted your ankle on a run

Swollen, painful, hard to walk on, but you can still move your toes. This is a textbook urgent care visit — we can X-ray it on the spot.

Fever that won't break

102°F for two days with body aches and sore throat. Come see us for rapid flu or strep testing and a treatment plan.

Sudden chest pain or pressure

This could be cardiac and needs immediate emergency evaluation. Call 911 or go straight to the ER — don't wait.
